What a Miniblox match actually costs and pays.
Only the modes we have played appear here, because this table is a measurement and not a description. One match each, on one evening — enough to show the shape of a mode, not enough to publish averages.
| Mode | Players | Match | Map | Variant | Measured |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Skywars | 12 solo | 1.3 min | Arctic | Overpowered | 2026-10-30 |
| EggWars | 4 teams of 4 | 3.0 min | Mushroom | Quads | 2026-10-30 |
| Survival | shared world | ongoing | shared world | — | 2026-10-30 |
What a match pays out
The end-of-match panel itemises every line, so the XP rules can be read straight off two summaries. Coins are listed too, and both matches paid zero — that is the guest account at work, not the mode.
| Match | Duration | Kills | Duration XP | Kill XP | Total |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| EggWars, Quads | 3.0 min | 1 | 23 XP | 20 XP | 43 XP |
| Skywars, Overpowered | 1.3 min | 0 | 10 XP | 0 XP | 10 XP |
The XP rate we can infer
Divide each match's XP by its length and both land on the same number:
- EggWars: 23 XP for 3.0 minutes = 7.67 XP per minute
- Skywars: 10 XP for 1.3 minutes = 7.69 XP per minute
Both matches also paid a flat 20 XP per kill (EggWars had one kill and twenty extra XP; Skywars had none and nothing extra). So the shape is:
XP ≈ 7.7 × minutes played + 20 × kills
This comes from two matches on one night. It fits both summaries exactly, which is why we are publishing it as a hypothesis rather than a rule, and a third match with a kill in a different mode would settle it.
What to play, if you only have ten minutes
A Skywars round we played finished in 1.3 minutes and paid 10 XP; an EggWars round ran 3.0 minutes for 43 XP. Longer matches pay more per match but far less per minute if you die early, which is exactly what happened to us in Skywars.
